Eight Weeks

Today Mariah is eight weeks old. Seems like yesterday we arrived from the hospital. It has been a while since my last blog. It has been very busy at work and there is always confusion between Tawanna and I about who will do the next one. Since she and Mariah are sleep, I will take the liberty of writing mine now.

Road Trip
We took our first long road trip with Mariah this past weekend. It was eventful. I will add an hour on to my travel time for baby needs and emergencies. Mariah needed to be fed and changed on the way to DeKalb. Nothing like changing a bubbly diaper in your lap at a rest stop. I refuse to change my baby on any changing table at a rest stop, gas station, etc. The diaoper didnt hold everything so we had to change her clothes as well. Nothing like bathing my daughter with wet wipes in the car. Eventually we made it to DeKalb. She enjoys the car and relaxing in the car seat.

We were able to time it a little better when leaving to return home. She slept most of the ride. The only problem was the flooding on I-94. We had to detour to the skyway. I am proud of her. She did well.

Thanks Jaclyn for the great picture of my baby. Tawanna will be upset that I am using this picture first. She can always use it again.

I know that parents say their children are beautiful. I have to say that my daughter is the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. :-) Who do you think she looks like this week?

God Bless,
